Better late than never

So it probably comes as no huge surprise that I didn't manage to get my baby blanket finished before Samuel-Patrick put in an appearance. Still, I just figured that I'd finish it during the early weeks when he was sleeping. Ha! How naive I was.

Four months later and the colic seems to have subsided. Sam has eventually started to sleep, and I've emerged from a bone-crunchingly tired fug, which means that the odd row of knitting is possible again. Hoorah!

I was very proud to cast off my blanket this week and sew in the ends. Finishing up a project is such a great feeling. This one is another classic pattern from The Knitting Book. It's a simple knit and purl pattern that forms diamonds. I think the little man was pleased with my handiwork.
